What do Miike Snow, Lady Gaga and DRAM all have in common? Our UNCO[V]ERED artist Amber Mark.
New York based singer, songwriter and producer Amber Mark released her brand new single ‘Mixer’ via PMR/Virgin Records. ‘Mixer’ follows the release of last year’s East Coast-influenced collaboration with DRAM ‘Put You On’, and sees Amber’s trademark husky harmonies adorn a truly irresistible bass groove. The track was produced and co-written with Miike Snow vocalist and award winning songwriter/producer Andrew Wyatt (Florence & The Machine, Beck, Dua Lipa), who won the 2019 Oscar for Best Original Song with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s ‘Shallow’.
Amber Mark has spent the year so far writing and recording at home in NYC, with ‘Mixer’ set to be the first in a string of sublime genre-bending releases from the multi-faceted artist. “After seeing me perform at Soho House, Andrew Wyatt felt inspired to write me a track to dance to” says Amber; “As soon as he sent it over I couldn’t sit still. It was so inspiring to write with him.”
After a whistle-stop visit to London in November to play two nights at the O2 Academy Brixton supporting Leon Bridges, followed by a stellar sold-out headline show at Oslo Hackney, Amber is set to perform at Pitchfork Festival and The Governors Ball Festival before heading to Europe for a string of headline dates and festivals in July, including her biggest London show to date.
UNCO[V]ERED premieres on Saturday at 12noon, off the back of our Spotify Countdown. Channel 801, only on Foxtel.
