A star-studded local line-up graces St Kilda Festival’s 2019 line-up, with The Preatures, DZ Deathrays and stacks more named as headliners this year.
The February 10 event will boast more than 60 acts across seven stages, spread out along the foreshore and around St Kilda, with more than 400,000 punters expected on the day.
Other acts confirmed to play the free event include The Cat Empire, Troy Cassar-Daley, Mojo Juju, Regugitator’s Pogogo Kids Show, Saskwatch, Adalita, Slum Sociable, Olympia, Slowly Slowly, IV League and Haiku Hands.
“St Kilda Festival has been a part of our community for nearly 40 years and is part of our local identity,” City of Port Phillip Mayor Dick Gross said.
“Not only does it provide a diverse range of entertainment for both our locals and visitors, but also has an economic benefit of over $90 million for the local and broader economy.
“This boost for our local community coupled with a free day of live music and entertainment – what’s not to love?”
The music line-up will be accompanied by dance performances and workshops, carnival rides, BMX and skating, food and market stalls, art installations and more.
