Watch PWD's "Karma" music video
|
Byron Bay metalcore giants, Parkway Drive have released a new music video 'Karma' from their critically acclaimed, ARIA award winning (Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album) record, Deep Blue. Taking fans deep into the essence of their core, Parkway Drive have unleashed a video that features the band performing on the beach and on their boards, mastering both surf tricks and hardcore metal, unlike anything you have seen before.
Set on Dolphins Beach, Byron Bay, 'Karma' gives fans a glimpse of Parkway Drive in their element, a place where heavy riffs meet the serenity of the shoreline and where hardcore breakdowns meet offshore breaks.
"We saw a real opportunity for a unique video for a band of this style," said director Caleb Graham, who draws from his experience directing surf videos. "It's something that represents the bands lifestyle in a fun and accurate way."
Taking full advantage of their vigorous tour schedule, Parkway Drive have hit the best surf spots in the world. With an arsenal of music locked and loaded, the band will continue to bring fans what they want, uncompromising, hard-hitting waves of sound.
Make sure to check out Parkway Drive on tour this May.
Parkway Drive - The Mix N' Mash Tour - May 2011
With You Me At Six, Bleeding Through, The Wonder Years and Confession.
Since touring together on the 2010 Warped Tour, the lads in Parkway Drive and UK's You Me At Six have become great mates, which has inspired them to join each other on the The Mix N' Mash Tour of Aussie venues.
Adding to the diverse range of acts on the tour will be Orange County's Bleeding Through, Philadelphia's The Wonder Years and Melbourne's Confession.
"I think the name of the tour says it all," says Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall. "When we first started going to shows we we're stoked to be able to see a bunch of bands that we liked, but also that may not sound exactly the same. These days it seems every tour has become so streamlined to one particular sound you may as well be watching the same band play four or five times in a row".
"This tour has a bit of everything for anyone who like's their music a little faster, a little more energetic, something local, something punk, something heavy, something rock, and then us! It's everything we love, and we couldn't be more psyched"
You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi commented, "We're really happy to announce that we'll be hitting Australia with our boys in Parkway Drive. The shows are going to be HUUUGGGEEE, so if you like either of our bands head down. Ripper!"
