After eight massive weeks of solid - and at times a little heated - campaigning, the 2011 Oz Artist of the Year competition has come to a close. Australian music fans have spoken and the votes have been tallied. Channel [V] is amped to announce that the winner of [V] Oz Artist 2011 is... 360!

Man of the moment 360 was annnounced as the winning artist this past Saturday, live on the final episode of The Riff for 2011. Channel [V] hosts Billy Russell, Danny Clayton, Jane Gazzo and Carissa Walford presented the ecstatic Sixty with the [V] Oz Artist 2011 trophy. The Melbourne hip hop hero took out the Channel [V] viewer voted Award ahead of finalists Guy Sebastian, New Empire and Short Stack.

[V] Oz Artist is Channel [V]'s annual award where music fans nationwide get to vote for the Australian act they dig the most. Now in its fifteenth year, the award is determined entirely by viewer votes online at vmusic.com.au.

An unstoppable musical maverick, 360 has had a year of astronomical proportions. His groundbreaking sophomore album, Falling & Flying debuted at number one on the iTunes album chart, in the top five of the ARIA charts and is still going gangbusters. He scored the Most Hunted Award at this year's Jagermeister Independent Music Awards, capped off a massive national tour and has a legion of dedicated fans.

Mark our words: 360 has the midas touch and it’s only just the beginning of major things to come for this man.
