Stop the presses! There's a new Rebecca Black video in town. Also this week we've got a new beat from DJ Laurent Wery ft. Dev, Katy Perry giving us some Movember love, Guy Sebastian smelling expired milk and a not-so-Christmassy Christmas video from the Biebs... Okay, start the presses.
Laurent Wery ft. Swift K.I.D & Dev - Hey Hey Hey (Pop Another Bottle)
Ever since being sampled in 'Like a G6', any tune Dev touches turns to gold, that is if gold is bangin' club beats. The clip is your standard house party video, with plenty of cup filling and pretty girls. It's nothing special, but with a beat like this you don't need a flashy video to love it.
Like: 2012 - Dev is going to be huge.
Dislike: Cleaning up after a house party.
Katy Perry – The One That Got Away
A music video should make a song even better, and this is a prime example. This gorgeous song about love and lost opportunities has been set to the visuals of a teenage Katy and her artist boyfriend. Flash forward to a broken hearted old woman, topped off with a verse of Johnny Cash's 'You Are My Sunshine'. If you don't tear up at the end of this there is something wrong with you.
Like: My favourite clip right now.
Dislike: I still get teary every time I watch it.
Rebecca Black - Person of Interest
Finally. A love song from Rebecca Black.
Like: The lyric "There's a chalk line on the dance floor in the shape of my heart."
Dislike: I'll leave this for you to fill in yourself: _____________________________
Guy Sebastian - Don't Worry Be Happy
Okay, if you need a pick-me-up after the last two videos, this should do it. A great little tune about chilling out and enjoying life, the clip follows the woes of frustrated businessman Guy Sebastian on his quest for a better life. To sum up the message in this video: "Feeling stressed? Jump in the ocean."
Like: You can vote for Guy in [V]'s Oz Artist competition right here.
Dislike: Lumpy milk. Yuck. That's enough to make me jump in the ocean.
Justin Bieber ft. Boyz II Men
Another sweet little Christmas tune from the Biebs... I think. It sounds a lot more like a love song than something you'd play to get psyched about Santa. Besides the small print "Happy Holidays" message at the end, there's nothing really that Christmassy about the video either. Oh well, Merry almost-Christmas everyone.
Like: The highlight for me was how much Bieber reminds me of Justin Timberlake in his NSYNC phase.
Dislike: More snow please.
