Rumour has it, Rihanna has contacted her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown via a telephone call. The R&B singers have not spoken since he was charged with assaulting her before the Grammy Award's last year.

After the incident the "Run It" singer was sentenced to 180 days of community labour along with five years probation. A source told Heat magazine: "It's been almost a year since they last spoke, but Rihanna felt like she could try to be friends with Chris again. "Seeing how emotional he was on set [at the BET Awards] really touched her. She'd never seen him like that before."

Whether or not they will re-unite as a couple remains to be seen, we just hope that for Rihanna's sake Brown is the changed man he appeared to be during his MJ tribute at this year's BET Awards.
